Enjoyable ride across the desert

"Picked up from hotel on Egyptian time (agreed local time + 15 or so mins but we did get a message from the driver which was better than for other trips). Not a long drive to the place, then some hanging around. Signed a safety doc that amongst other things says no shorts, but that's what most people were wearing. There were a number of groups of 10 - 15ish around. Safety brief on how to operate the machine. Auto gears, brake handles, right thumb lever for accelerator - simples! You do a few circuits nearby to get the hang of it then off you go in a line led by your leader and your photographer. Going in a line may sound a bit tame, but we certainly had the opportunity to go full throttle or slower. The ground is sandy/gravelly / bumpy, so interesting for those of us who don't do this a lot. You can hire goggles for 3 dollars, not everyone does, sunglasses may be adequate. You can buy a headscarf (maybe 3 dollars? I took my own). We got helmets but several groups didn't wear helmets at all. Mine had to be tied on, and came lose! Plenty of kilometres across the desert to the Bedouin village, pretty much straight towards the sun, sunglasses inside goggles worked well. Time for small cup of tea, short stroll on a camel, watch a flatbread-making demo, look around the village and take some photos, then back on the bikes and return to base. My bike seemed to have some fuel feed issues for part of it, so I got quite behind, but sorted itself out. I was glad I did this. The photographer took so many posed and other pictures. Don't pay the first price you are quoted!"

Perfect experience

"We were picked up at 4 o'clock to participate in this beautiful trip! Our tour guide was Adam and the driver Fox(?). They were super friendly and after a long trek we arrived at the Bedouin village. Here we got a nice tour and rode briefly on camels. This was very nice to do we thought. Then watch the sunset from a mountain and had a nice buffet with candlelight. Then got a good and clear explanation about the stars, and looked through telescopes. All in all, this trip was a very nice addition to our holiday and we would recommend this to anyone! For 15€ they also take very nice pictures, which we received the day after via whatsapp. Again, we thought this was value for money."

Fat trip

"It was a really fun trip, with many special experiences. Good competent guides who have great professional knowledge. The Jeep trip out into the desert was bumpy and hard, about 1 hour each way. I would probably not do that with small children (5 years old) again. But out there everything was really cool and good. Foot service all the way around."

An amazing day trip you will remember forever!

"We went as an extended family of 10 which were 5 adults and 5 children aged between 6 - 15 years. The day included a pick up from our hotel (the driver was 40 mins late but the driver was very apologetic so we didn’t mind). He drove us to the venue which was only 10 mins away from our Hurghada hotel. Once we arrived we paid £5pp for ‘National Park’ costs which we had known about from the confirmation email (this is an extra often added to excursions). We met our tour guide Ahmed who was brilliant throughout the day with fantastic spoken English. He took us to the quad bikes which we drove for a good 30 mins. Then we went to the ‘Bedouin village’ which they try to sell as real life but is blatantly staged as we only saw 3 people in the whole village! A fresh chappati was made in front of us which we sampled before being taken to view (and buy which we didn’t) Bedouin medication. Again there was no way this was organic and herbal - camel milk does not smell that fragrant! The younger children wanted to buy bracelets and necklaces which cost £5 each! (We later discovered they were 3 for £5 from the entrance). This was followed by a camel ride and then we headed back to the start where we drove the buggy’s. Finally we were taken to the buffet area for a meal and a show. Overall a brilliant day which we will remember forever! Top tips: 1. Buy your own keffiyeh (scarves) from the local market at £1-£2 each rather than at £4 on the day. 2. Bring sunglasses as it will stop the sand going into your eyes (you don’t need the goggles that they will persuade you to hire). 3. Wear trainers. Sandals/flip flops are not great as you get rocky sand between your toes and it’s harder to grip the pedals when driving. 4. Haggle - they always start very high. We managed to buy 5 photos they had taken of us at £3 for all 5 pics when they originally wanted £10! 5. Bring lots of water bottles with you - you will be in the desert with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees. 6. Wear clothing that covers arms and legs. I burnt my legs badly on the day whilst driving on the quad bikes as it was the hottest part of the day. Overall - an amazing day trip. Well worth the £175 costs (£125 trip cost plus £50 national park) and an excursion we will remember forever ❤️"

"Great experience and great staff There was a mix up with the pick up but the team sorted, When turning up run through the experience and safety, Off we went on the bikes, Great ride out with very good hosts, to the area for camel rides, then back again, It was a great day/ 3 hours if I wanted to be really picky I would say you had to by the water and there was non provided. Was great time and 2 teenage girls loved it and would definitely do it again"

"Recently I had the pleasure of taking part in a motor safari and it was just an unforgettable adventure! From the very first moment, I was struck by the atmosphere of freedom and adrenaline that surrounds this event. The itinerary was carefully crafted and included the most picturesque and exciting places. Every turn of the road opened up new views, whether mountain peaks, dense forests or endless plains. The Motosafari organization was at the top. Everything was thought through to the smallest detail: from quality equipment and reliable motorcycles to professional guides who knew every corner of the route. Safety came first, which allowed me to focus entirely on enjoying the ride. I particularly want to acknowledge the spirit of camaraderie and unity that prevailed among the participants. 🌟 Star tour in Hurghada – with ups and downs 🌟

"How to get there: The journey to the destination was unfortunately very bumpy and uncomfortable. We drove through a rocky desert landscape, and there was no paved road – just a hard off-road run. For a tour that apparently takes place regularly, it would really be the least to create at least a semi-comfortable path. Unfortunately, this significantly reduces the overall impression, especially for families or older participants. Bedouin visit: On a positive note, I would like to highlight the encounter with the Bedouin people. The people there were very friendly, we were warmly welcomed and could gain a little insight into their way of life – a cultural highlight. Tour guide: A big plus was our guide Alexander. He was very dedicated, helpful and provided a lot of interesting information about the country, people and the starry sky. His calm and competent nature has given the tour structure. Starry skies: Watching the starry sky was fine – but I personally hoped for a little more magic. Maybe it was the timing or the organization, but the “wow feeling” didn’t happen a bit. Nevertheless, it was nice to look at the sky far from the city lights. Organisation: Overall, the organization could definitely have been better. The process seemed a bit chaotic and improvised, especially in terms of logistics and comfort. Conclusion: If you are looking for adventure in the desert and bring a little patience, you can collect interesting impressions here. However, if you value comfort, clear procedures and a well thought-out concept, you should be aware that the tour has room for improvement. For me a mixed experience with some nice moments."

Fantastic day and night

You can make but you don't have to

"Nice guides, Ibrahim was our German guide, he was very nice and took good care of. Good apprentices of the constellations. Overall, the tour was ok: Pro: Beautiful desert landscape (sunset on hills with great views) Good food, good food Nice guides Good explanation of the individual constellations Delicious flatbread freshly prepared by a Bedouin Contra: Very long journey/departure in total about 3h from Sahl Hasheesh, partial drive through the desert along garbage dumps Plus 20 min wait until everyone arrives at the stopover (duration of entire excursion 7h) Camel riding takes 2min and our camel was beaten by the Bedouin to sit down again Starlit skies are okay in April, but hardly better than at home 20km outside Munich. You can see Jupiter and Co through telescopes which is quite unspectacular because they were just blurred points"

Fabulous Egypt desert fun

"We had a blast. Rode ATV's, Buggy's, camels, dinner, and show. I don't think we have laughed so hard in a long time it was a super fun time. It is everything it said. The equipment might not work, but they bring you another one, lol. The rides are pretty long and they take a lot of photos to sell you at the end. (Not much money) The ride to the village is really bumpy so that's an experience in itself. Food was good and plenty. We would do it again."

🔭 Star watching

"The journey was not pleasant at first. We were booked to leave the hotel at 2:30 p.m., but we got a call at 1:30 p.m. urging us to assemble quickly, and the tone was not good. We hurried out, then picked up the others in turn (jeep cars for eight people), drove to a large turntable assembly into the desert, and then waited for other cars and people ... enough to wait for more than an hour!! (If we follow the set time and abide by it together, it won't take much longer) Then it was an hour or so across the gravel desert, and it was bumpy and exciting because there was no proper road at all ... When we got to the camp, we followed the pre-determined procedure and experienced a camel ride (five minutes), watched "native" pancakes, sold cool oil, handicrafts, etc. ... and then took it to a hillside to wait for sunset, to take pictures ... We'd seen it better many times and had a better sunset, so we thought it was average ... Sunset was about 4:30, and it kind of cooled down after being covered by a higher mountain in the distance. Then the process continued, sitting around, handing out mineral water, drinking tea, the natives singing "folk songs," lighting candles, lining up for dinner... After eating, they went to stargazing 🔭 The stargazing part is what I think is best! First we queue to see Saturn and the moon through a telescope, and the guide will tell the corresponding star with a spotlight. After reading it, the guide goes on to introduce the basic laws of star motion and seasonal transformation, highlighting a few constellations or bright stars to judge the southeast and northwest and seasons, which in the early days was one of the very basic and important survival skills! (Tip: You can download a stargazing app in advance, and I'm under the sky guide, pointing my phone lens toward the sky, and the current constellation of that orientation will appear on the screen. Stargazing at the app, friendly to novices, and fun!) Give it a 3.5 overall... If there's a next time, I don't want to ride a camel or watch an Aboriginal pancake..."

Too many waits and bad photos

"I took the tour on December 22, 2025 purchased at my Hotel with transfer from Safaga to Hurgada included. The tour is nice, but too many waits between activities and all very short. Even dinner in the desert is not much, I had much better experiences and the Bedouin camp is their tourist area, not where they really live. Last alert The photos I bought for 30 euros and received a link of blurry and bad quality photos. Avoid buying them."

Amazing Quad Safari

"It was a great trip. The staff was very friendly and took good care of everyone. If there was a problem, you were helped immediately. The distance driven was also top. We have done quad safaris before, this was the longest tour so far. The quads also had good performance which booked the during the ride extremely much fun. In the village where a short break was made you could ride camels. That wasn't so interesting for us we preferred to deal with the many cats that were there, especially cute were the two babies that walked around there."
